CorePower Yoga - CP2
CorePower Yoga’s CorePower Yoga 2 class is a solid yoga class set in a studio room heated to 93-100 degrees with added humidity. The lights are usually bright and the class has more of an athletic feel than a calming feel.
Fitness clothes + barefeet.
Bring your own mat and towel. You can rent both for $2 each.
A good array of yoga moves and flows.
The heat makes the class more difficult, but even w/o heat the yoga itself is challenging.
Good for all levels, but prob not for an actual first timer.
Sweat Level: 💧💧💧💧💧
First Timers: N/A.
Returners: $37 per class.
Packages and memberships are available to lower the "per class" price.
The studios are “earthy” and simple. A bit generic.
The teachers are knowledgeable and the class flow is, for the most part, standard from teacher to teacher.
For the specific class I took, the instructor didn’t wear a mic and was hard to hear over the music.
Lots of locations.
Def has regulars.
Similar to FitHouse’s Hot Yoga Sculpt.
Lockers w/ automatic locks and showers, but need to rent shower towels (hate this btw).
Not available on ClassPass in NYC, but is available in other cities.
If you need a plastic baggie to hold your sweaty clothes after you shower, ask the front desk- they carry them in a drawer.
Yeah! Not totally different than a lot of other hot yoga classes, but nothing wrong with that! It’s a good one.
