FitHouse - HIIT



FitHouse’s HIIT class is a full body cardio and strength interval class using various types of equipment set in a spacious studio.

  • Fitness clothes + sneakers.

  • 45 mins.

  • Format is instructor-dependent, but generally: (i) 5 min cardio warm up, think jacks, squat jumps, mountain climbers, (ii) 7 stations of cardio and strength exercises. Each exercise is done for 45 secs, 3 times (i.e. about 3 mins at each station). In between each station and sometimes each 45 sec spurt, you’ll do active recoveries (like high knees, planks, etc.), (iii) 8 mins of arm strength exercises and core, (iv) a quick finisher, & (v) a cooldown/stretch.

  • Example exercises: squat jumps w/ resistance bands, ski ergs, weighted lunges, kettle bell rows, cycling.

  • Example equipment: bands, steps, free weights, kettle bells, mats, heavy balls.

Hard AF?!

  • Solid workout, but could be a bit harder.

  • The energy is great.

  • Push yourself individually to make it more difficult.

  • Great for all levels.

  • First Timers: $29 buy one class get one free (i.e. $14.5 per class).

  • FitHouse is a studio with various locations that have all types of classes. They’re trying to mix the consistency and membership of a traditional gym, like Equinox, with boutique studios. You’ll see a good mix of classes on the schedule.
