Iron and Oar’s Crew class is the SoulCycle of rowing - you row to the rhythm of the song. Crew is a full body cardio and strength class using weights, on and off the rower.

  • Fitness clothes + sneakers.

  • 45 mins.

  • Instructor will do a short demo on how to use the rower.

  • You will alternate between cardio intervals on the rower and 3 strength sections off the rower with dumbells focusing on arms, legs, and core.

  • The instructor does not leave the rower in the front of the room.

Hard AF?!

  • Technique is the hardest part of this class. The act of rowing has specific timed movements.

  • You get to set the resistance on the rower - you can make this as hard or as easy of a class as you want.

  • Packages are available to lower the "per class" price.


  • The studio is part of a co-op of 3-4 other fitness studios that share the same building. The entire studio is just one room.

  • The decor reminded me of beachy waves which seemed a little out of place.

  • The room is bare boned.

  • The instructors are all very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Classified Information

  • Studio room is dark, so no pressure to row perfectly.

  • Showers and lockers (must bring own lock).

  • Ask instructor technique and form questions so you get the best out of your workout!

  • Crew: 45 mins class on the rower w strength training intervals off the rower where you ride to the rhythm of the music.
  • Signature Row: 45 mins combining shorter rowing intervals with sculpting exercises using free weights and bodyweight of the rower.
  • RBC (Rower Bootcamp): 45 mins of HIIT, weight lifting, rowing, and core work designed to help you get stronge focusing on power rowing.
