Liftonic - Legs & Butt



Liftonic’s Legs & Butt class is a slow-paced, challenging strength class using heavy weights, focused movements, and proper form.

  • Fitness clothes + sneakers.

  • 50 mins.

  • A typical Legs & Butt class: (i) seven min warm up (think air squats, plank walk outs, good mornings), (ii) three sets of two strength moves done eight times each three times through, and (iii) a cooldown. All moves are set to the beat of the music.

  • For the strength portion of class, an example line up is: (a) eight weighted squats and eight deadlifts three times through; (ii) eight weighted alternating lunges and eight pistol squats three times through, and (iii) eight weighted lateral lunges and twelve weighted sumo squats. In between each set, there is an active recovery (like beast holds or plank hip dips).

  • The TV screens hanging from the ceiling around the room set out the exercises and suggested weight range. For the above example class, suggested weight was between 15lb-25lb, but most people were using 15lb-40lb. Liftonic suggests having four different sets of weights.


Hard AF?!

  • Yes! Very challenging bc the class focuses on heavy weight and proper form.

  • You’re not doing a ton of reps, but if you’re using heavy enough weight, it will be hard.

  • Of course, you can make it as hard or easy as you’d like by using different weights.

  • All levels can do this class w/ adjustments.

Sweat Level: 💧💧💧


  • First Timers: $59 for one week unlimited.

  • Returners: $32 per class.

  • Liftonic also offers packages that reduce the per class price and they also offer unlimited classes per week/month.



  • Studio is clean and minimal. Underground feel.

  • They have a ton of weights, so won’t be a race to grab yours (thankfully). However, they did run out of the tightest resistance bands when I went, which was too bad bc I wanted to use the hardest resistance.

  • The teachers are encouraging and informative, esp when it comes to form.

  • Music is great.

  • Reception is super welcoming and helpful.

Classified Information

  • Breathe! Prob makes sense to eat something before.

  • Lockers w/ automatic locks.

  • No showers, but there are changing rooms and freshening up products.
