POE - FireBeat
POE’s FireBeat is a full body sculpting class using various pieces of equipment and set in a 90°+ airy, light-filled studio.
Fitness clothes + barefeet.
The class moves from head to toe sculpting each part of the body.
We wore wrist weights for the first half of class and work ankle weights for the last half of class.
POE provides mats and any other necessary equipment. We used light hand weights, gliders, resistance bands, and a pilates ball.
Examples of exercises: sumo squats while lifting light weights, glute work on all fours, planks, squats with the resistance bands.
The studio temp is 90°+, so you will sweat.
The exercises burn out those smaller muscles, so you will feel the fatigue.
Class is great for beginners and advanced students.
All in all, a solid sculpt class that will make you feel accomplished and will truly hit your full body.
There isn’t much cardio/footwork movement- you’ll stay on your mat area the entire time. Low impact.

First Timers: $50 for unlimited two weeks of classes.
Returners: $35 per class.
POE offers Daily Drop In rates as well, that reduces the “per class” prices day of.
Packages and memberships are available to lower the "per class" price.

POE is located down the street from the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge- no need to go into the hotel lobby.
They usually provide a cool towel for your face after class, which is a great touch.
