Punch Pedal House - Pedal House 45
Punch Pedal House’s Pedal House 45 is a rhythm-based spin class.
Fitness clothes + spin shoes (P+P rents shoes for $3).
Rhythm-based spin class w/ 2-3 arm breaks using light dumbbells.
Not too difficult.
You’ll ride to the beat of music (i.e. a mix of light resistance/fast songs and heavy resistance/slow songs).
As with any spin class, you can make it as hard or easy as you want.
Something is missing at this studio and class. IDK if it’s the too-soft music, the attitude of the copy on the website and ClassPass, a low energy vibe, or a kind of “sloppy” workout. Something is off.
Sweat Level: 💧💧💧
First Timers: $45 buy one get one free.
Returners: $30 per class.
Punch Pedal House offers packages that reduce the per class price and they also offer weekend unlimited classes and unlimited classes via membership.
The studio is broken up into two rooms: the Pedal House and Punch House.
Spacious space. The Pedal House studio is a good size with cool lighting and artwork.
The instructor I had was lovely and motivating.
Punch Pedal House is the next iteration of the closed Rhythm Ryde which was also in Dumbo.
Weird ClassPass intro: “THE CLASS IS HARD! THERE ARE NO COMPUTERS! THE CLASS GETS HOT! WE DO NOT USE AIRCON, during class! WE CHARGE $3 FOR SHOES!” All right - we get it.
Showers, locker rooms, and lockers w automatic locks.
