The Sculpt Society- Dance + Sculpt
The Sculpt Society’s Dance + Sculpt class is a sweaty full body sculpt class that mixes bursts of cardio dance with arm, butt, leg, and core exercises using light weights, ankle weights, and gliders.
Fitness clothes + sneakers.
Follow along w/ the instructor.
The first two songs are cardio dance moves. Nothing too crazy, mostly just jumping jacks, hopping around, and grape vines. Def not intense choreography.
From there on out, each song is focused on one or two parts of the body.
For instance, a typical class is as follows: (ii) first two songs dance cardio, (ii) arm exercises, (iii) arm exercises while doing dance cardio, (iv) leg/glute work using gliders and hand weights, (v) plank series, (vi) glute work using ankle weights, (vii) core work, and (viii) dance cardio for the last song.
Super dynamic movement. Expect to work various parts of your body w/ one exercise. For example, lunging using a glider, while also pressing hand weights overhead.
Yes! You’ll move your body dynamically for the entire class straight through. No real breaks.
The weights are light, but w/ high reps, your muscles will fatigue, esp the glutes!
Reminds me of the sculpt class at The Ness. Both super interesting and challenging sculpt classes.
I expected to be barefoot, but the class is high impact and sneakers are necessary.
Sweat Level: 💧💧💧💧*
First Timers: N/A.
Returners: $35 per class.
Private training and class packs available.
Instructors are energetic and super welcoming, encouraging, and professional.
You’ll feel like your just hanging with your friends dancing!
The Sculpt Society was founded by Megan Roup who danced professionally after college and then turned her passion for dance and fitness into a branded class.
The class is located in the Energi studio space which hosts various events and group fitness classes. It’s a place where instructors can bring their own workouts. Energi also has a co-working space on their first floor that is available for members.
*The Sculpt Society instructors have been known to turn the heat on in the studio room so that the sweat factor is more intense - even in summer (!!!).
No showers or locker rooms. Only cubbies.
Absolutely! A great, dynamic sculpting class that isn’t boring.
